OGABS game server Rules!

I know there is a lot of info here and it seems like an awful lot of rules for a server, but we just want to make sure everything is covered. A lot of these won't be strictly enforced causing an immediate kick or ban and all players should be notified with reasonable warnings before admin action is taken.
If at anytime you feel you've been mistreated or abused by an admin, feel free to contact me privately and I will be more then happy to assist you with any problems you may encounter.


1. No Cheating!

2. AR/Nailgun (No autorifle or nailgun on sniper maps)! AR/Nailgun is allowed on any map for close range fighting only. NO long distance AR'ing.

3. Nobody is allowed to run scripts whatsoever!

4. No Recruiting or Advertising!

5. No Racial, Political or Religious statements!

6. No Disrespect to Admins or Players!

7. No Disrespect to any Clan or their members! Do not wear a clans tag if you are not a member of their clan!

8. No Teamshooting! Causes no damage, but disruptive and will not be tolerated!

9. No Bunny Hopping! No Double concing! No nade/rocket jump combos!

10. No Spamming of any kind, Voice or Text!

11. No Foul Language, No Offensive or Foul Names! Abbreviations such as WTF etc. mean the same as saying the actual words! Only an IDIOT would not get this rule!

12. No Speed Sniping! Yes Speed sniping! You must charge your shot and not take quick potshots.

13. No Sounds or Music Unless Admin has given permission! Only an admin or a player with permission can play any type of sound!

14. No Conc'ing, Rocket Jumping or any other assisted jumping while carrying the flag! This includes your teammates sniper shooting, rocket, conc'ing or piping you into position while carrying the flag!

15. No Disrupting the game! Basically this covers anything a player does purposely to cause problems for others!

16. No arguing/fighting on the server! If you have a complaint bring it to the forums! ANYONE found fighting on the server may or may not get a warning and they WILL be removed from the server until further notice!

17. No Admin Impersonating! If you are caught using an OGABS Admins name you will be warned then kicked/banned if you do not comply with a name change Immediately!!! Admins may use a different name to watch the server, and they are NOT required to inform someone they are an admin! Play and act as if you know an admin is on at all times and there should not be a problem.

18. Playing Medic!!! Anyone can play medic at any time they wish, as long as they do not ONLY infect or become a disruption by infecting constantly.
Playing medic is alright as long as people don't take advantage of the medpack especially when the other team does not have a medic!

19. NO SPAWN CAMPING! Maps with random spawn points, you must give players a fair chance 2-3 secs to move when they spawn. Just because you spawn and are shot or blown up by a nade does not mean someone spawn camped you. Sometimes on these maps players are already fighting in the area you have recently spawned in.

20. Do not Spam or Camp enemy Respawn/Spawn. Respawn/Spawn Spamming/Camping include:

- Any Type of Nades or Pipes
- Building an SG in front/or have direct target to enemy respawn
- Building any object in front of enemy respawn door (IE: Dispenser that they may explode as soon as someone is coming out)
- Waiting in front of the enemy respawn door for an enemy to coming out(IE: Sniper waiting for the door to open)

21. No use of any exploit such as:

- Nail nade exploit
- Mirv Exploit
- Map Exploit
- Use of Teleporter while carrying the flag


Most of the rules are the very same, We've modified afew things as well as added a cpl and we expect everyone to read them and know what is and is not allowed here!

No excuses for not knowing what is and is not allowed! Admins have the right to kick/ban players for breaking any rule that would warrant a permaban with or without warning!

Any of these rules being broken can get you kicked or possibly banned! We certainly never want to kick or ban anyone, but sometimes thats what we have to do to ensure our server remains a Great place for all to play!

If you feel an admin is being unfair or not following the same rules listed above, contact me with as much info as you can and I will look into it. No need in starting flame wars on the server or forums. If an admin is dealing with a player, STAY OUT OF IT! You stand the chance of earning the same fate as the troublemaker!
